Jim is a graduate of the University of Miami in Florida. He worked a couple years in television then worked as an Audio-Visual Director for Algoma college. Recently, Jim was contacted by a former intern from that college and it seems that she followed a career based parially on knowledge she gained working with Jim. She is now a renowned journalist in the automotive field. For more information about Shannon Lee Mannion, check out her website.

In 1977 Jim established Enchanted Sound & Video in St. Clairsville, Ohio which focused strictly on concert sound reinforcement. As times, needs and technologies evolved, Enchanted Sound changed with them. He returned to his first love, media creation, in 1983 when Enchanted Sound became Enchanted Sound & Video. In 1994, with the direction of the company moving almost exclusively toward more video production and computer support, the name of the company changed to ESV Teleproductions, but the original name of the company was retained, a homage to Jim's past. His parent's owned and operated the Enchanted Isle Hotel in Hollywood, Florida when Jim was a young boy.

Jim established the business at 145 West Main Street and due to the need for more space moved to 159 East Main Street in 2000.

We met John in 1991 when he joined us to assist in the production of The Battle of Cloyd's Mountain documentary. During the course of this production, he directed as well photographed several key scenes.

Since that time, John has worked on numerous productions as a producer, photographer, editor and graphic artist. Most recently, he directed a documentary for Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens, produced by ESV Teleproductions. In recent years, he has been fortunate to work on or appear in several major motion pictures such as Dances With Wolves, Gettysburg, Gods and Generals, Deadwood, Commander in Chief, The Amazing Race and Flags of Our Fathers. His love of history led him to Romania in 2002 where he served as technical advisor on Anthony Minghella's Cold Mountain. Recently, he has paired with Historical Entertainment of Cascade, Maryland for several documentaries for the History Channel. In August of 2005, he was First Assistant Director on the national recruitment commercials for the U.S. Border Patrol. Recently, he was military coordinator on The American Revolution for Partisan Pictures.

Although busy with these productions, he still returns to eastern Ohio occasionally to lend a hand.
